Being able to change looting schedule is a feature in several games.....the choice to change it to Round Robin (in absence of an absolute "no" by ANET or code-wise) should be added to this game.

No one here knows what frustrating is. I had a green drop and the Necros Minions blocked me in and i didn't get to it before the time ran out. That pissed me off to no end.

It's been said, but I feel it needs repeating. If everyone got a Green drop everytime and it was easy, then they wouldn't be rare drops and wouldn't be worth poo. And before someone says, "oh yeah, that's from someone who's prolly been getting lots of green," I've only gotten ONE out of about 5 trips and it wasn't even a great one.

thats the point, it's not easy. It's two hours that someone spent trying to get this accomplishment and then have that time wasted with nothing to show for it. The reward is what drives people to do these quests, if you are one of the few people who are all "blah blah, I like the challenge don't need the reward" then you have no place in this thread. After completing the 4 levels and beating the bosses, the players deserve a reward for a job well done. Yes I said DESERVE because it's true.

Our arrogant MM does that also. I don't party with him on the new Tombs anymore. I am NOT gonna lose an axe because he's busy claiming how he 'pooned the darkness'.

Hello pal, nobody said anything about everyone getting a drop each time.
What really RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOs people up is HOW it is possible for multiple items to drop "which your party reserves for XXX" while someone else gets none.
Either get rid of the RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing wording and reword it into something else, or introduce a more transparent drop allocation process. This current one is making me sick

But they aren't rare drops to begin with! They're the most reliably common drops in the whole game. The only reason they have any value at all is the relatively steep amount of time it takes to get them coupled with the lottery aspect of their distribution. On the one hand we have people who got lucky within the first few days of their introduction, who made hundreds of platinum off them. On the other hand, we still have people who started playing the areas at the same time, who by now made twice or maybe three times the effort and still have to get their first drop. And when they do finally get something, it won't be a rare item anymore, because the market is already flooded with them.
The commonness of these items is why people are frustrated at not getting them, not their rarity.

well you think of a better item engine, maybe like diablo
killing a boss, everybody stands next to him when he is gonna die everybody stops attacking and starts clicking a million of times to get as many items.. that better?? no
I love the drop engine, if you got bad luck.. well thats life

Woohoo first time ever in new UW and I got two greens. Victo's Shield and Maul!! (dances around forum). I love the way stuff drops. (smile) The shield is to die for and the maul looks keen, great for hammer warriors. Shield is Black with emblems and a slight light outline of them. It is like the most awesome lookin shield in the game.

There is a collector location thread on this forum in quest discussion i think. there is a link in there that shows all collectro weopons and what they need. no 15^50 axe/flatbow is listed, or a sheild -2 +45 enchanted (again stanced or hexed only) or a holy rod with +5 energy (max damage, not the nolani one), no rod that +20 protective recharge but required heal or divine (a strange combo yes), there is no collector rod giving 10+ recharge for skills for all classes, there is no ect ect ect ect.
My point being you cant get all you want from collectors, as someone tried to say.

No, what i meant is that 3 greens all dropped for 1 person, whilst some got 0.
Im not asking for more green drops AT ALL, but that they are distributed. Its still luck if enough drop for everyone, and its still luck which one you get, cant see a problem with that.

Well it's a rants thread about drops in the new UW. I merely added my rave to the rants, to "balance" things out. Since everything about GW's is supposed to be balanced correct? (smile) And I still love my new shield (still dancing around forum).

6 greens drop atleast all the time max is 9, i have only seen that 2 times and i have completed this 10 times now

Well, my bad, I did mix up the requirements, but the point remains, collectors give the best items.
Who lead you to believe that a 15^50 is indeed the best requirement to die for? Your life is probably below 50 half of the time! And if you are not in a stance always, then I'd suggest you delete your Waahhh Moooh

farmed to death already... wow took SF area a week to cause the greens to decrease exponentially.. Its a shame but I foresee very soon a 3 hr+ run yielding a grand total of 1 green drop for the entire party... All because of the Thousands of farming runs an hour... go figure... I still like that this is a Green Run that is EARNed and not easily obtained... the fact that the drops are reducing is really good cause people will soon give up on it in the numbers that are going right now. are many of these people using what they find? NO thats evident on the sales that are transpiring in auction pages and in game... So the fact that those people are less likely to get such an item in another run is very pleasing to me.
In fact I think it would be IDEAL if ALL characters would have the ability to get every green item drop for them once. and once only... Boy that would solve TONS of problems...

I agree the drop rate sucked ( i sat through 2 hours once only to get nothing but Millus Eye while someone got both Battle Axe and Shadowblade) But peoples, its just a new area for peoples to enjoy granted it take 2 hours or more to reach the bosses and get (hopefully) some greens but its design to be challenging and fun for the team. Beside these new greens are the flavors of the month and wait till chapter 2 is released with more new greens than no one will even bother to come here. I been through 4 failed attempt to get into tomb (once we're in level 4 and i did a bad pull and got two groups to rush us and we died) But its all about luck, sometime you get those great pug team going and than get something at the end, sometime you get nada.

Yeah, it is disappointing. I understand, believe me! I've been there a lot! And the more I think about it and been there with nothing to show for it, I'm starting to see the light. Give me something for my effort. I'm sick of Raven staffs and canes. At least throw me a nice perfect gold or some ecto. But give me something in the end!
